Why is this a paid app?

The app is not working as advertised and I essentially have to update the widget myself. And even when I do manually updated the screen time …the widget does not actually update to reflect the screen time I entered.

How do I ensure I am not charged after the 7day free trial? I see nowhere to end my subscription in the app.
